Find the right headset for your setup
A headset for your scooter is a set of two ball bearings with cups and shims. The ball bearings are located in the top of the cover, as well as in the bottom of the cover's headtube. Headsets are the reason why the fork of your scooter can rotate freely and smoothly. The ball bearings can be open or closed, and it's really a matter of taste whether you want one or the other.
You should be aware that headset scooters can be integrated or non-integrated. This depends on whether the ball bearing is placed directly on your headtube (integrated) or whether additional cups are needed to hold the ball bearing (non-integrated). Most non-integrated headsets fit most non-integrated decks on the market. These need to be tapped in manually. Integrated headsets fit only those decks that are prepared for integrated headsets. No tools are required to install these.
